Eureka! The National Children’s Museum
Eureka! The National Children’s Museum in Halifax, West Yorkshire opened in 1992 and remains the only dedicated children’s museum in the UK.
Eureka! is renowned for its playful approach to learning for children from birth to 11 years old, and over our 33 years of operation we have welcomed over 9 million children and their families to play and learn in our six galleries and changing programme of events.
Our flagship gallery – All About Me – provides an opportunity for children to discover just how amazing and unique they are and through a range of interactive hands-on exhibits and fun role play opportunities children learn how and why they should try to keep their bodies as healthy as possible.
Our Spark gallery is different from the other galleries at Eureka! It’s interactive (just like everything else) but hosts temporary exhibitions that showcase the most exciting and creative digital technology from around the world.
